Insanity! This is the latest trailer for Akai Katana, the latest shooter from famed arcade developer Cave.
The company is known for its vertical scrolling shooters, making Akai Katana one of the few side-scrollers the company’s developed.
This May, the game will hit the Xbox 360 as Akai Katana Shin in Japan. More at the game’s official site below.

Remember that it’s probably not hard mode they’re showing, that’s most likely normal mode ^^;;

Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 8:08 AMIt’s more about bettering your own high-scores to me. Minimal gains feel like climbing mountains in these games sometimes. Also, they are infinitely more challenging than most of the curent crop of games, so long as play how they are meant to be played (ie for high scores/one-credit-completions)
