Preorder Rockstar’s L.A. Noire from GameStop and you get a thrilling homicide case. Pre-order the game from Walmart and you’re stuck on traffic duty.
Rockstar continues to dole out retailer-exclusive cases for its upcoming detective thriller L.A. Noire, and today we get our first peek at “A Slip of the Tongue”, the traffic case that’ll only be available to players that preorder the game through Walmart stores.
The case seems to be based on the most simplest of detective thriller clichés, the old “I didn’t mention his first name” trick. It seems incredibly forced in this trailer; perhaps we just have to see it in context for it to seem more natural.
L.A. Noire hits the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 17. Anyone planning on switching their preorders around? Come on, who doesn’t love traffic?
