We’re Looking For A Technology Manager/Lead Developer

Kotaku AU

Fancy working at Allure on Kotaku, Gizmodo and a host of other sites? We currently have an opening for a Technology Manager/Lead Developer and, as always, we like to chuck these things out to the community. If you guys think you have what it takes to fill the role, then click on for more details.

Technology manager/lead developer
About the Role

Allure Media is one of Australia’s fastest growing digital publishers, with 1.5 million Australian UBs each month. Our three technology mastheads (Gizmodo, Kotaku, Lifehacker) are industry leaders and the Sugar Network (PopSugar, FabSugar, BellaSugar) is fast changing the women’s lifestyle landscape.

We’re on the hunt of a brilliant tech allrounder to manage our technology needs, building category-leading products while ensuring site delivery.

The ideal candidate will have proven PHP and web development skills (we use both WordPress and proprietary systems), along with experience keeping Linux web servers running like well-oiled machines.

Most importantly, you’ll have a passion for the web and want to build the best products in their class.

The role is full-time and based in our Circular Quay office.

Apply Now
We offer a fast-moving, innovative yet casual working environment. We are a small team, meaning every staff member has the opportunity to make a real contribution to our products and our business.

To apply, please email your resume and a cover letter to jobs@alluremedia.com.au.

I run two websites that use default WordPress and ComicPress templates. Clearly I’m your man.

If that doesn’t work for you, if you guys ever need someone to write one article a week from Brisbane and are willing to pay big bucks for a guy with no experience, I’ll probably be available for that :p Hell, if you pay enough to let me quit my current job, I could even write two articles a week. You can’t get much better value than that.

Stuff like this makes me jealous of techies and their job prospects in places like this and with game developers.

Good luck to the applicants. :)
