The First PlayStation Phone Will Be Out In The US Next Week

The Xperia Play, Sony Ericsson’s first PlayStation-certified phone, has been out in Europe for a little while now. Americans wanting in on the action? Your wait is almost over.

The phone will be released in the US on May 26, and will be available exclusively through Verizon. It’ll be priced at $US199, with an additional $US30 a month on top of that for your monthly charge (remember, it’s a phone!).

Those wondering which game they’ll buy first, don’t sweat it: the phone comes with six titles pre-installed, including the original PS1 version of Crash Bandicoot, along with more up-to-date editions (remember, it’s also an Android phone!) of Madden 11, The Sims 3, Star Battalion, Bruce Lee Dragon Warrior and Asphalt 6: Adrenaline.

Well hopefully it will be soon in Australia. The NZ release was supposed to be this week then they had the stolen shipment marketing gimmick.
