Is Goldeneye Reloaded Just A Fancy Word For Re-Released?

Activision puts nostalgia-loving gamers in their sights once again, gathering a nice list of domain names revolving around something called “Goldeneye Reloaded“. This could mean a number of things are in the works: an HD re-release of Goldeneye for the Wii, an HD remake of the classic N64 Goldeneye, or maybe even a turn as an Xbox Live Arcade game or on PSN?

Domain registrations are relatively inexpensive ass-covering for a company as large as Activision and have to be taken in stride, but “Reloaded” is pretty specific. [via @Supererogatory]

I can’t imagine this could ever be as much fun as breaking out the old N64 with some mates regardless of what it ends up as.

If it is a HD remake, it better be for 360/PS3.

Obviously it wouldn’t be the same as playing it for the first time, but it would be SO GOOD to be able to play it on a big screen tv and actually see what’s happening.

Also to replay all the missions would be great, it is a fantastic game and deserves a HD version.
Playing perfect dark again was fantastic. THis would be even better.

Agreed, don’t waste a decent Goldeneye remake on the dead Wii.

Wii was in the lead in worldwide sales by about 50,000 units again last week…not exactly dead.

I challenge you to find a Wii not covered in dust from disuse.

I would hazard a guess that there’s at least 50,000 of them out there.

Reloaded is an overused word. It should be changed, no matter what it is.

Surely it’ll be a remake on the Wii U using the screen-controllers. Finally we can see what we are shooting at in 4+ player multiplayer.
