Grossman wouldn’t say precisely what characters Fox will voice, other than “You’ll know ‘em when you see ‘em.” To me, that means he’ll probably be reprising Marty McFly, maybe as his much older, future self.
In “Outatime”, the fifth chapter due on PC, Mac and iPad June 23, McFly and Doc Brown have had a falling out and are working at cross purposes, Grossman said. A behind-the-scenes trailer showed the two meeting an older character, voiced by Fox, driving a truck.
“It’s really kind of a coup for us,” Grossman said at E3. He added that Bob Gale, who co-wrote the original films and is working on this game, and Christopher Lloyd, who portrays Dr. Emmett Brown in both, may have lobbied Fox to join the project.
Telltale had to write Fox’s characters and lines for his review before he would agree to appear, Grossman said. “He wanted to make sure it was a good part and a worthwhile thing.”
