Singapore School Girls Make The Right Choice About Meth

Is someone in your family acting strange? Did they leave a note laying around about buying a lot of ice? Maybe they’re planning a surprise party! Or maybe they’re on drugs. Luckily, The Right Choice was made to help you get to the bottom of such mysteries.

The Right Choice is a visual-novel style roleplaying game where players must help the main character, Jeremy, make decisions that could save his drug-addicted brother’s life.

The game was created by Singapore Polytechnic Design School students Theresa Cheong and Gillian Tan, better known as Team Nozione. The duo were more interested in the games visuals and message than the coding, but with minimal programming knowledge and a little help from their friends they won first prize in the Games Against Drug Abuse flash game contest.

Organised by Central Narcotics Bureau and the National Council Against Drug Abuse, the campaign was held in conjunction with the United Nations International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The events theme, “Life Does Not Rewind. Make The Right Choice”, was a starting off point for all designers that Team Nozione seems to have taken very literally.

There are plans to make The Right Choice and other games from the competition playable online by the end of the year.
