The Creative Assembly Now SEGA Studios Australia – Working On London 2012

It used to be called The Creative Assembly, and was behind games such as Rome: Total War and Medieval II: Total War, but now SEGA has announced that the development studio, based in Brisbane, is being rebranded as SEGA Studios Australia – and it has a nifty new logo to go along with it.

“SEGA is hugely proud of its internal development studios” commented Gary Dunn, Senior Vice President – Production, SEGA Europe and SEGA America. “SEGA Studios Australia has been involved in the development of some of SEGA’s most successful games; this new corporate image will not only reflect their development heritage but also the exciting new times ahead for the team”.

But what is SEGA Studios Australia currently working on? The newly announced London 2012: The Official Video Game of the Olympic Games, apparently, which will hit stores in 2012. It’s a bit of a change from the titles the team is used to working on – the leap from RTS to sports is sure to be an interesting one.

The studio is also recruiting, and you can find the openings here.
