Left 4 Dead 2′s Mission To Play ‘Cold Stream’ Is A Mission Accomplished, Classic DLC Due Early

Earlier this week, Valve issued a challenge to the Left 4 Dead 2 community: if 20,000 players beat the in-development “Cold Stream” campaign by Sunday, they’d get the re-release of “Dead Air” early. That goal was met in about four hours.

That means Left 4 Dead 2 owners will get the tweaked Left 4 Dead campaign early. No later than July 22, Valve says—barring an outbreak of Valve Time, naturally. The developer says its testing and finalising the “Dead Air” re-release, as it’s not yet ready for prime time.

Also interesting is that the Left 4 Dead team says it’s “working on and testing a new version of the ‘Dark Carnival’ finale and some gameplay changes for finales in general.” Dark Carnival clearly has its own final quirks, but I’m interested to see what Valve has planned for other finale changes.

It might. But more than likely Valve wants to just give it to their customers for free as any of their DLC is & apparently M$ wants them to charge for their DLC which is apparently why TF2 never got the class updates on 360.

Pc Only. Just get it on PC, it’s only like $5 and all the DLC is included for free.

First, how did you comment if you don’t have a PC? XD

Second, what Andy says. You will never regret switching to PC. Plus, if you really hate keyboard and mouse, you can always use a controller for it.

The reason so many people finished Cold Stream so fast is purely because it nets a ticket in the Steam Summer Camp competition. I doubt many people have any idea at all that Valve mentioned an early release of Dead Air.

I didn’t think anyone in Australia even played L4D2 because of the censoring.
(Yes I know you can remove it but at the expense of little to no servers)

Everyone I know bought it from US steam store and has the uncensored version. Wasn’t all that hard to do

You can get plenty of games online with the uncensored version.

I actually prefer the censored version. Mainly because the lack of blood all over the screen when hit makes me able to actually see the action properly.

Would still be nice if the bodies didn’t disappear though. No big deal.
