In that time he’s worked on a ton of Final Fantasy games, the most prominent of them being Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy XIV.
Yoshida works primarily as a character designer, so it’s this we’re going to focus on in the gallery above, highlighting some of the best pieces he’s produced for games like FFXII, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions and Final Fantasy III DS, as well as some of his other works, like Vagrant Story and Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together.
If you’d like to see more of Yoshida’s work, the Tumblr blog Akihiko Yoshida has you covered.

Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 11:02 AMDefinitely one of my favourite illustrators, I would really dig a nice big fat book collecting all his work, Amano has enough, but not many (if any) other FF illustrators have anything like that.
The tumblr is rad, awesome link to keep me inspired, Cheers.

Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 12:15 PMI like Amano, Nomura and Yoshida for different reasons. However, I’ve gotta say that ever since Amano got phased out of prominence and Nomura has lost his touch to new-age vogue bullshit in FFXIII, Yoshida seems to be the only artist that I hold any true confidence in anymore.
The fact that every game he has helped visualize become amazing games probably has an influence on this perspective. Long live Ivalice!
