The Renaissance Art Of David Alvarez

David Alvarez is a 2D and 3D artist employed at Ubisoft, who has worked on games like Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed Revelations and Test Drive Unlimited.

Given the nature of the games above, we’re looking today at his work on the Assassin’s Creed series.

Since Alvarez is able to work in both 2D and 3D, we get a good cross-section of concept art here, some of it paintings and sketches, some design work, others examples of the kind of 3D work that goes into a game as big as Assassin’s Creed that you take for granted.

You can check out his personal site here for more pics.

Fine Art is a celebration of the work of video game artists.
