Between the old-school Animus interface and the Ubisoft Digital Arts watermark, I’m positive this video is leaked footage of something Assassin’s Creed related, but what?
I have no clue. It could be a cut scene from Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, or perhaps a clip from the Assassin’s Creed: Embers animated short that will come packed with the Revelations collector’s and Animus editions. Whatever is going on here, it looks both sinister and painful.
While I thank reader Josh for passing the clip along (Thanks Josh!), you folks can occupy yourselves theorising over what it all means.
Update: As readers have pointed out, the audio is taken from the 1990 film Jacob’s Ladder. Check out the video below, starting at about the two-minute mark. An animation test then?

Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 12:29 PMI’m just going to throw a couple of ideas out here , The sequence pretty much depicts a scene from the film Jacobs Ladder where the main character is under the influence of 3-Quinuclidinyl benzilate , which causes such effects include stupor, confusion, and confabulation with concrete and panoramic illusions and hallucinations.
The version of the Animus used is Version 1 and the DOB of the subject in the Animus is 4/12/1978 , could this person have been a child from someone involved in the Jonestown massacre?
Then again it could just be a animation test
