LEGO Harry Potter Video Game Characters Don’t Look Too Old For Hogwarts

I love me some LEGO video games; the quality of the graphics and the difficulty of the puzzles keeps getting better, and the worlds keep expanding.

I was instantly excited by how much out-of-storyline exploring I got to do in the first LEGO Harry Potter, and now Part Two promises to allow for even more adventures. New screenshots of LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 came out today at Gamescom, and in a press release from May, Warner Bros and TT promise “new locations including Grimmauld Place, the Ministry of Magic, and Godric’s Hollow… new faces, new challenges and new magic, preparing [players]for the ultimate face-off against Lord Voldemort.” The screenshots and the press release tease that the game will have exactly what LEGO has been building towards: great graphics, even more worlds to explore, and if you look carefully you’ll still find things to laugh about.

I’ll let the images do the rest of the talking.

I’m waiting for LEGO The Avengers (if they make one, which is likely seeing as though they’re introducing a line of marvel and DC superhero sets)

A Lego game that encompasses the whole superhero and villain line-up all rolled up together would be fantastic. You need a theme that has enough characters to make the game worthwhile.

So far i’ve been a little underwhelmed by the Lego games. Some fun here and there but it’s mostly just mash whatever button attacks and look for studs-coins. don’t mind that but my real gripe is that the controls always felt really slow to me.
