The Witcher 2′s Xbox 360 Versions Slips To 2012

The Xbox 360 version of RPG The Witcher 2, originally slated for later this year, has now been moved back to “the first quarter of 2012″, the developers tell us.

There are two reasons for the delay. One is to give the team “more time expanding and polishing certain elements of the gameplay”. The other, and the developers acknowledge this, is the legal battle over the game’s distribution rights.

Fahey reviewed The Witcher 2 when it first came out earlier this year. He rather liked it!

There’s something satisfying about having a PC game be delayed when being ported to the console.

I hope they release the big collectors edition with the 360 version like they had with the PC version

Just be thankful you were told now, and not the day before release.

I’m supprised at the date slip considering the PC version can be played with the xbox360 controller for PC ..Plays very well with it too :/ very odd … That said it will not get neatr the settings I get on my PC when it’s on the console anyways :P

I’m actually a bit relieved because I was going to be too busy this year with Skyrim and Dark Souls.
I just hope this doesn’t go the way of Rise of the White Wolf or whatever they were calling the ported version of the first game.

I’m glad I gave in and got my fix on the PC version then. I don’t think I could have lasted all my friends telling me how awesome it is and then having to wait until 2012 to play it!

Although the game cost me more than just the price of the game, but a new graphics card as well!

Agreed with comment below. Probably trying to evade Skyrim. Either way I’ll patient like always for TW2. It’s worth it.
