There are two reasons for the delay. One is to give the team “more time expanding and polishing certain elements of the gameplay”. The other, and the developers acknowledge this, is the legal battle over the game’s distribution rights.
Fahey reviewed The Witcher 2 when it first came out earlier this year. He rather liked it!

I just hope this doesn’t go the way of Rise of the White Wolf or whatever they were calling the ported version of the first game.

Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 1:34 PMI’m glad I gave in and got my fix on the PC version then. I don’t think I could have lasted all my friends telling me how awesome it is and then having to wait until 2012 to play it!
Although the game cost me more than just the price of the game, but a new graphics card as well!
