Assassin’s Creed: Revelations was supposed to be the first time in the series that a game released for all platforms on the same day. Well, it won’t. Ubisoft confirmed to Kotaku that the PC version of Assassin’s Creed: Revelations has been delayed until December. No specific December date was given, nor a reason, but we’re betting it’s not to remove all the DRM from it.
The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game will still release November 15.

Man, Ubisoft just keeps screwing over PC users. Guess it gives me a bit of time to polish off brotherhood. The multiplayer looks really good and a geniune epic ending to the trilogy. Better be worth the wait.
This was expected.
But good to see its only a month or so not 3 months like the previous installments

What do you mean “trying”? They do this every time they release a popular title. Pisses me off every time they do it.
On the bright side, it gives me about a month to play Skyrim before this comes out now…
It takes time to implement there new drm of having a ubisoft employee standing behind you making doubly sure u dont copy the game you bought
I’m currently playing through Brotherhood in preparation of this game (sat on my shelf for 10 months). Anticipation is high.
Lovely now I can cancel my PC preorder and put the money on the 360 version. Had the PC release date stuck (hahaha) it would have been the opposite 😉
It’s standard for companies like this. They delay the game by a month so they get a full month of sales, before releasing to the pirates. Because of hype, a higher percentage of people buy.
They just generally don’t give a reason for it, which is stupid.
I’m going to get this on PS3. This news didn’t surprise me one bit. I never took their original release date for the PC version seriously.
Just in regards to DRM i quote Cory Doctorow who says:
Anytime someone puts a lock on something that belongs to you and won’t give you the key, that lock is not for your benefit.
