Sure, It’s Hype, But NBA 2K12’s Latest Trailer Is Still Pretty Badass

This is all marketing, OK? This is a sizzle trailer, even if it is two-and-a-half minutes long and packed with gameplay (and one outstanding choice of music). But in addition to hyping the living hell out of NBA 2K12 it does offer a few things of value: One, a look at the presentation of old-time games within the NBA’s Greatest mode. And, two, many of the actions selected were deliberate. Check out Bill Cartwright going into the air but still managing to block Alonzo Mourning on the way down, at 1:15. I don’t think I’ve seen that before. I’m sure others will spot more.

Now, if you want to know more about NBA 2K12 from someone who’s played it, see my impressions from a week ago.
