The Best, Sexiest, Strangest Selected As IndieCade 2011 Finalists

From a bowling game controlled by kissing to a four-year-old’s Ponycorn epic, every one of IndieCade 2011’s 36 finalist fully deserves their moment in the spotlight, except for maybe The Bridge.

Next month from October 6 through October 9 the annual IndieCade festival transforms downtown Culver City, California into the mecca of indie game development, and they’ve narrowed down hundreds of entries into 36 games that will represent every exhausted, underpaid independent developer that’s every laid a line of code.

This year’s list sees plenty of familiar faces, perhaps due to the increased exposure independent efforts are garnering from games journalists these days. Games like Gaijin’s Bit.Trip Flux for WiiWare, Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP for iOS, and the perception-skewing Antichamber are just a few of the finalists we’ve featured on Kotaku in the past. Maybe some of the more obscure titles will find their way into an article in the future as the IndieCade buzz begins to fly.

Here’s the full list of finalists (Thanks to Edge for formatting them so I didn’t have to do it myself):
