You Might Be Able To Finish High School In Just A Single Year

Sounds like an email spam subject line, I know, but it's actually a claim made by Atari founder Nolan Bushnell.

Speaking at the Cloud Gaming Conference USA, Bushnell — who also founded Chuck. E Cheese's — said he's been working for the past decade on a computer education project that takes place in the "cloud", and that during a 40,000 student test his system is "currently teaching subjects 10 times faster".

"We believe that when we roll this up to full curriculum we'll be able to teach a full career of high school in less than a year", Bushnell said. "And we think we'll be able to do that by the end of next year."

"That's a lot of time to chase girls and have fun."

Girls? What the hell are you talking about, Bushnell. That's a lot of time to play video games.

That would be amazing, too bad I finish High school this year haha.

not passing judgement till this comes out, if it does, but interesting idea..

Too late for most of us who could have used this years ago.

    :(

My life would be such a different story, if this had happened 14 years ago.

He'll still have to address retention of learned knowledge.

When we're young we learn things incredibly fast. We also tend to forget things incredibly quickly too.

Interesting, and Box Guru is correct, he'll have to address the issue of retention of learned knowledge.

Apart from that, he'll also have to address the issue in that people learn things in different ways (something that the current educational systems also don't largely account adress).
