$170 Seems Like A Reasonable Price For A Spiny Anteater

You never forget your first big guest star. Quality collectible crafters First 4 Figures certainly haven’t, commemorating Sonic the Hedgehog‘s original rival with $US170 worth of Knuckles the Echidna.

The first non-Sonic figure in First 4 Figure’s Sonic line (they’ve done Sonic, Metal Sonic, and Super Sonic so far), Knuckles crouches a menacing 10 inches tall, his fist cracking the volatile ground of Lava Reef Zone from the classic Sonic & Knuckles. It’s a very pretty piece of work, even prettier when the lava is set aglow in the $US190 Exclusive Edition.

First 4 Figures is now taking pre-orders for both version of the statue, slated for a second quarter 2012 release. With only 1,500 of the regular and 500 of the Exclusive edition being made, getting your order in early is a good idea. This is Knuckles we’re talking about.

What’s that? Where’s Tails? No one cares about Tails.
