Kotaku‘s already shown 23 blissful minutes of lag-free Battlefield 3. The game looks realistic. It’s like you’re right there on the Caspian border. Know what’s not realistic? Flying tanks. Oh, and spinning jeeps. Floating dudes, too.
The above clip is from the Caspian Border map. In what it lacks in lengthy, lag-free gaming, it more than makes up for it in what-the-f**ks.
Don’t let this clip discourage you from picking up the game (EA can always patch things). Flying tanks and spinning jeeps aren’t bugs, they’re totally awesome features.
Thanks LulzJager for the tip! (And the lulz.)

Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 11:33 AMThis game ships in just 20 days! Bugs like this should have been ironed out months ago.
Then again, the beta is probably a different branch of code to the mainline they’ll use to cut a release. It’s not uncommon for devs to do this.

Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 8:15 PMIts already been established that the Beta code was 4weeks old when the Beta was released.. that and they have a further month for bug fixing before release..
Even if its gone gold for retail they can still update the digital release right up till it comes out and they can patch via Origin for retail buyers..
