Skullgirls co-creator Mike Z offers us a little walkthrough of what makes Ms Fortune special. Not only can she bowl her noggin at her opponent, her head becomes a separately controlled entity when she does. There’s also the rather icky-looking “ball of yarn” attack, which actually appears to involve Ms. Fortune wrapping her opponent in sinew and batting them around.
This is a 10-minute education on one character, which might teach you a thing or two about this unusual old-school fighting game. Skullgirls will be out for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in early 2012, after a brief delay.

Someone should really adapt that old flash game Bible Fight to consoles though. With the muay thai Jesus who burys opponents under a pile of bread and fish as an attack. Classic stuff.

Friday, October 7, 2011 at 12:45 PMConsidering the issues SF2HD had with keeping it under the size limit for XBLA, I can’t believe this is going to make it as a downloadable title. The detail in the animation is amazing.
