The Yarls, Jesters And Thieves Of Skyrim

The last time we saw some concept art from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, it was from Ray Lederer, and featured loads of colour and action shots.

We’ve got some more art from the game today, and this time, it’s all about the design. The clothes, the weapons, the fine details.

These pieces were drawn by Kemp Remillard, of concept art powerhouse Massive Black. What’s cool about them is that they’re very early concepts, so unlike some of the other stuff we’ve seen of Skyrim, not all of it made it into the game. Some did, some influenced things that made the cut, some — the Russian-looking clothing in particular — just didn’t make it, but looks awesome regardless.

If you like what you see, you can check out more of Kemp’s work at his personal site.

Fine Art is a celebration of the work of video game artists. If you’re in the business and have some concept, environment or character art you’d like to share, drop us a line!
