When it comes to sim gamers, nothing is too expensive or too out of the ordinary. They will pay any price to have an experience that is as close to the real thing as possible. Meet the VRX iMotion. Nvidia was showing this bad boy off at their booth at CES this year, so I just had to give it a whirl.

For around $US32,000 you get the chair, actuators, screens and a badass PC. As Billy Mays would say, “It comes with everything you see here!”

Throw in another $US1500 and VRX will provide you with three 42-inch 3D monitors and 3DVision two glasses courtesy of their partners at Nvidia. How nice of them.

The iMotion currently supports games like iRacing, F1 2011, DiRT 3 and even Battlefield 2. If you’re rich and curious, you can start a private conversation with VRX by emailing them via their website.

For that kind of money, hopefully you can have half as much fun as this guy!

Monday, January 16, 2012 at 11:28 PMIf I had that kind of money to throw away on this kind of thing, definitely.
The one I have, is just the G27 mounted to a prefab frame with a bucket seat. It’s more than paid itself off since late 2010. The only way I’ll race now. Select few arcade racers are the only exception.
Heaps of fun. And infinitely more immersion of course.
