Nnooo To Release escapeVektor For The PlayStation Vita And 3DS

I really enjoyed what I played of Nnooo’s escapeVektor, but never got round to buying it. Why? Well, mostly because I can’t remember the last time I bought anything on WiiWare. Now Nnooo has announced it will be releasing the game on both the PlayStation Vita and 3DS.

“We were delighted by the reception the WiiWare™ version of the game received,” said Nic Watt, Creative Director at Nnooo. “We originally planned to have four Chapters but have now decided to roll them all into one game and bring it out on these new consoles to reach a wider audience.

“Playing the game in 3D on the Nintendo 3DS is really cool,” said Watt. “With the background to each level pulsing in time to the cool chip-tune soundtrack you really get drawn into game’s environment. For PlayStation Vita players we hope to make use of near™ and location based leaderboards. We’ll also be experimenting with the front and rear touchscreen controls.”

Being perfectly honest, I don’t think the Wii was the place for a game like escapeVektor, a game which really becomes bone crushingly difficult quite quickly. I’m quite keen to check out the new versions — the clean aesthetic will most likely look super sharp on the Vita, and I’m interested to see precisely how the game translates to 3D.
