The New Angry Birds Space NASA Trailer Is Pleasantly Ridiculous

Angry Birds Space will be coming out for iOS, Android, Mac and PC next on March 22, the game’s developers at Rovio, tell Kotaku.

They lobbed that news our way this morning along with this exclusive trailer that combines official NASA footage with, well… you’ll see.

Consider this another tease of the Angry Birds’ off-world adventures.

“Our focus is to delight our fans and we’re excited to launch Angry Birds Space on multiple platforms,” Rovio’s North America general manager Andrew Stalbow said in an e-mailed statement. “In the build up to launch, we’re going to make a global online announcement on Thursday March 8th at 10 AM New York time on angrybirds.com/space, and we hope our fans from around the world will tune in for what will be an out-of-this-world experience.”

And what of other gaming platforms like Wii, Xbox 360, PS3 or the respective handhelds from Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony? Rovio won’t say if the game will or won’t be coming to those platforms yet. So make sure you have an iPhone, iPad, Android phone or computer if you want to play Angry Birds Space next month.

Rovio is partnering with NASA to promote the game.
