Xbox.com leaked the images last night, and now we’ve got the video of Fable Heroesm Lionhead’s candy-coated four-player co-op journey through the lands of Albion.
What do we know about Xbox Live Arcade’s Fable Heroes? It’s a competitive/co-op adventure that sees up to four players exploring a re-imagined Albion. Series fans will recognise landmarks, characters and creatures from the franchise’s past, all rendered in this oddly-compelling new art style that’s slowly growing on me.
Players will pick their favourite hero and team with up to three friends online or in their living room, gaining levels, unlocking new special moves and unlocking higher difficulty levels and new mini-games along the way. For fans that wish to share their majesty with the world at large there’ll be plenty of leaderboards to climb and time trials to triumph over.
This is pretty much a must-have for anyone planning on playing Fable: The Journey, the Kinect-focused spin-off due out later this year, as collecting coins in Heroes unlocks items in that game.
What we don’t know is when this little guy is getting released. I’d wager a few weeks before The Journey hits stores, but don’t hold me to that.
So, what do you folks think? Look like fun?
