An Honest, Hilarious Assessment Of How We All Really Played Skyrim

Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim worked hard to improve its interface over the efforts of previous instalments in the series and, except for PC gamers, there was much to like about its streamlined appearance. But it’s still an interface, one you must constantly consult… even when you’re in the middle of stabbing someone in the stomach or ending their promising career in professional adventuring with a well-placed feathered projectile.

The video — scored, directed and mostly everythinged by Doomsday Arcade’s Michael Shanks (as opposed to the Stargate: SG-1 actor) — is nothing but quality. The 8-bit sound effects are a nice touch, and it’s short enough that it doesn’t overstay its welcome.

If you dig the accompanying music, you can listen to it on its lonesome here.
