Backhanded Box Quotes: ‘A Dance Central Rip-Off’

Welcome to “Backhanded Box Quotes,” a collection of super pissed-off user reviews from people just like you! Whoa, whoa, don’t take that personally.

Not much to tackle this week, but in video games, there is always something to complain about. Let’s look at a couple of games, one not everyone loved, and another just about everyone hated.

Fez

Released: April 13

Critic: YLK (Metacritic).

“Aside from being created by one of the most hateful developers in the history of gaming, it is painfully obvious how much the creator has stolen form the Japanese games he so vehemently hates.”

Score: 0. Overall Metascore: 90

Kinect Star Wars

Released: April 3

Critic: Kadeemluvmusic (Metacritic).

“One of the worst Kinect games since Rise of Nightmares.”

“More like a Dance Central rip-off.”

SkullGirls

Released: April 12

Critic: RedWaltz (Metacritic).

“[D]isappointing for those of us who play fighting games for the competition not to get some cheap tawdry thrills off of some weirdly drawn cartoon character.”

Backhanded Box Quotes will be an occasional feature of Kotaku’s Anger Management hour, unless it isn’t.
