Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Punches And Kicks Its Way To A September Release

The sequel to one of the most popular PS2 games will be arriving on the Xbox 360 and PS3 around Christmas this year. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 re-assembles Jin, Xiaoyu and the other brawlers of the King of Iron Fist tournament for a nother go-round, with a few new special features.

You’ll still be able to play in the familiar two-on-two configuration but with a few changes. Pair Play Mode lets up to four players each control a character and, in other modes, one player can face off against a tag-team.

You’ll also be able to customise the look and moves of Combot, the training robot you fight against in the new Fight Lab mode. Namco Bandai says that you’ll be able to own your Combot, which seems to hint that you moght be able to use it as a partner outside of the Fight Lab.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will also feature online play when it comes out in September 2012. We’ll bring you more news about the co-op fighter as it becomes available.
