This looks nearly as good as Starship Troopers 2...
according to wiki it is starship troopers 2....
St2 was a bit of a miss film, where the story revoled around a new brain bug, and the team being stuck in a sime giant defence tower while they awaiting extraction. St3 was better but not as good as 1.
Will have to look it up.

Urgh. Why can they never just make a movie based on the book. Don't get me wrong, the Verhoeven movie is entertaining and all that, but it's about as far away from Heinlein's work as it's possible to get.
Would you rather a movie about a bunch of redshirts getting ripped apart set to the tune of bad melodrama? Or would you rather watch a war involving an army of elite, well-trained soldiers wearing armour that is essentially a main battle tank wrapped around their body complete with jumpjets and nukes?
That scene in Avatar, where the Colonel fights Jake in the power suit, but two hours long. And with giant bugs.

That would be Starship Troopers : Marauder. The Marauders were somewhat truer to the book. Then again, if we followed the book we wouldn't have our glorious snappy bugs now would we? ;D
I don't know why but I never like the way japanese studios use CGI. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big anime fan but the thing is that I have yet to see a full CGI film in which the character movements look so awkward.

alot of that is that they dont use alot of motion capture and animate the people by hand that swhy it looks unatural
Some body could have warned me not to watch this trailer so I didn't have to remember that everything that has starship troopers on it, but isn't the original film, sucks massive monkey balls.
They look a little too neat and clean to be soldiers. Then again, I suppose there isn't much dirt inside of battlecruisers. I think I might stick to the classic Roughneck Chronicles ;)
