Last year I stayed up and liveblogged, and despite the fact that liveblogs are kinda old school, I heartily enjoyed it. It seemed like some of you guys did too, so I’m stocking up on Pepsi Max and doing it all over again this year. WHO’S WITH ME!?

Expect to see…
– A massive amount of 3DS games
– Push for PS3/PS Vita integration (which I won’t be too fussed by)
– Sony to have the strongest ‘core’ exclusive line-up
– Random 3rd party developer dragged on stage to talk about how Nintendo has support of third parties this time round!
– Loads of Kinect. Maybe even something interesting for us?
Want to see…
– Strong line-up of 3DS games
– Strong (genuine, not just lip service) third party support for Wii U
– A quality exclusive for 360 that isn’t Halo 4
– The Last Guardian or, at least, proof it still exists
– A new Hideo Kojima directed game
Expected no shows…
– Bungie’s Destiny
– The Last Guardian
– Any new hardware of any kind

EXPECT:
Odd, half-baked features geared towards enhancing consoles' abilities to data mine, and that are frustrating for end users to work with. On the plus side, there'll be an unannounced 14 month delay for these features for non-Americans.
WANT:

I want:
-at least 2 games other than OoT that will make my 3DS purchase worthwhile.
-something to do with mass effect or infamous (queue denial stage of grief), but I know deep down that it won't happen. (queue acceptance stage).
-any new play station or Xbox hardware that might convince me that buying the wii u won't be worthwhile.
-Lots of third party wii u games, to contradict my previous point.
I don't want:
-Kinect. Don't tell me any more about Kinect. Please.
I'll probably watch the Nintendo conference. I'm undecided on the others.
My plan is to leave the laptop on standby near the bed so I can wake up, watch the conference then go back to sleep afterwards (or fall asleep during the conference depending on how exciting it is).
As for predictions

- Halo 4
- Bunch of crappy Kinect titles
- Call of Duty: Astronaut War in Space (or something) being played on 360
- Gears of War 7
Sony
- VITA VITA VITA VITA VITA. EVERYONE LOOK AT VITA
- (Please don't ask us about the Move controller or a new home console)
- Sales stats
- Possibly 'target' footage of potential ps4 graphics
Nintendo
- WiiU central, the MiiVerse, Reggie doing or saying something embarrassing
- Footage of Mario WiiU (I hope a new 3D title, as well as NSMBMii), Zelda, bunch of other titles
- 3DS will probably have stuff we already know about like Luigi's Mansion but it won't be the focus at this expo
Wouldn't it be on Wednesday morn 2:30AM if the conf starts 12PM Tues US time?
Predictions:
- No PS4.
- 50/50 chance of next Xbox even though they have repeatedly denied it will show.
- Wii U will have a relatively strong showing - core game support from both first and third party devs will be out in force.
- Lots of focus on the Vita, possibly even more so then the PS3
- Assassin's Creed 3 or new undisclosed game still under wraps will win Game of Show.
- Sony will spend little to no time pushing the move. It's dead. Let. It. Go.
- Xbox price drop.
- Xbox conference will open up with Black Ops 2 - a given i know. Controller has 50% chance to disconnect again.
- Unlike other years there will be at least one genuine software surprise announcement at each of the three main conferences and the EA and Ubisoft conferences.
I won't stay up for anything, but I'll take a break at work for the Sony conference. I usually do, but this year is extra special, as the brother in law finally gets access to the big stage - a great celebration of his success and talent! Go David!
No staying up late, waking up early for me. I'll make use of gamespot's text updates for the sony show as I have for the past couple years. Works for me as plain text is bandwidth and work safe ;)

I've never done it before so I might consider it this time. Either way gonna be getting up to see the Ubisoft one (8am AEST i believe) for any AC3 and FC3 news.

I am taking a day off work to watch the Nintendo conference.....Nintendo for the Win! The MiiVerse looks freakin awesome, I feel like a giddy little girl....woo hoo!!!
Expect to see: Miyamoto come on stage while the Zelda theme plays in the background. He'll say some things in broken English then hand over to Iwata or Reggie.
Don't really need to get it live as it happens - I'm happy to get the summary at a sensible hour. having said that, looks like Sony is actually AT a sensible hour so may keep an eye on that one.
As for what you're expecting/hoping to see, Mark - I'm with you on The Last Guardian. I'm hoping we'll get a trailer and a release date, but not expecting it to be playable at the show. I'm kind of resigned to it being disappointing now, anyway. Lowered expectations is a good thing if it DOES turn out great, but the bumpy development has left me a little sad :( As far as Kinect goes, I'm sure we'll see lots of it, but very little/none for us. Except maybe Steel Battalion.

I'd like to see a Microsoft rep walk out and say something like...
"Gamers, we know we've cocked it up... but we've got a 10 point plan.
1. We're revising the dashboard.
2. We've been on a shopping spree. In addition to a bunch of studios; we've bought THQ... Saints Row, is now an xbox exclusive... and the Relic guys, we've got them in a lab building Homeworld 3.
3. We're making Kudo Senoda get a haircut and lose the sunglasses... he isn't Bono.
4. Xbox gold is increasing by 15 dollars, but to offset that... there will be no charge for Hulu, Netflix, Foxtel or any other service. One price and that's it.
5. Rare is working on a brand new IP... it's an FPS.
6. We've made some calls and Ensemble studios is reforming, as are the Project Gotham people.
7. Whilst we wont be showing the 720, it's going to be backwards compatible.
8. We decided we liked the job Sabre Interactive did on Halo Anniversary, so we've bought them... and they're making a new Crackdown.
9. We put the Lionhead guys in a room, they're integrating the combat mechanics from Amalur into Fable, and they're working on Black & White 3 and The Movies 2... for both kinect.
10. We've appointed a Director of Core Experiences... to make sure this shit never happens again."

Jesus... when you see it condensed down like that... I know it was deliberately edited to make it look as bad as possible, but still... that's horrible.
