Last year I stayed up and liveblogged, and despite the fact that liveblogs are kinda old school, I heartily enjoyed it. It seemed like some of you guys did too, so I’m stocking up on Pepsi Max and doing it all over again this year. WHO’S WITH ME!?
The major conferences are kicking off at these times…
Microsoft
June 5: 2.30am – AEST Sydney
June 5: 2.00am – ACST Adelaide
June 5: 12.30am – AWST Perth
Sony
June 5: 11.00am – AEST Sydney
June 5: 10.30am – ACST Adelaide
June 5: 9.00am – AWST Perth
Nintendo
June 6: 2.00am – AEST Sydney
June 6: 1.30am – ACST Adelaide
June 6: 12.00am – AWST Perth
Hope to see you guys and girls then — work/uni/TAFE/school be damned!
And while I’ve got you — let’s make this an early E3 prediction post. What do you guys expect to see? What do you want to see? Do you expect any massive no shows?
Let us know in the comments below. Here are some of mine, which are pretty dull and predictable.
Expect to see…
– A massive amount of 3DS games
– Push for PS3/PS Vita integration (which I won’t be too fussed by)
– Sony to have the strongest ‘core’ exclusive line-up
– Random 3rd party developer dragged on stage to talk about how Nintendo has support of third parties this time round!
– Loads of Kinect. Maybe even something interesting for us?
Want to see…
– Strong line-up of 3DS games
– Strong (genuine, not just lip service) third party support for Wii U
– A quality exclusive for 360 that isn’t Halo 4
– The Last Guardian or, at least, proof it still exists
– A new Hideo Kojima directed game
Expected no shows…
– Bungie’s Destiny
– The Last Guardian
– Any new hardware of any kind
Alright, your turn!

I'm staying up for the nintendo one :3
Might want to check those dates, think they might be 1 day late.
My body is ready! That is all.
Sounds like you need something a little more potent then Pepsi Max Mark. May I suggest a V or Red Bull?
love staying up to watch the conference even though they are the corniest, especially microsoft.
predictions:
Microsoft:
new banjo kazooie for the 360 in 2012, with none of that vehicle building crap
Alan Wake 2 for 2012
awkward celebrity appearance
20 minutes of Kinect non-sense
blops 2
summer(winter) of arcade announced and dated
Sony:
small amount of move
vita game montage
last of us demoed
Killzone sequal announced at the end of show
Nintendo:
No idea what nintendo will do besides a new wii fit/wii sports and the usualy mario games
Yeah I might set the alarm for 2:30...wake up, watch the MS press conference then go back to sleep
Eh i give the confs a miss they are usually on too late for me (in perth) ill just get the catchup later the next day.
Gonna stay up for the Nintendo one. For the last couple of years, a bunch of us from Aussie-Nintendo have had a kind of E3 party, renting out our usual meetup hall then gaming all night til it's time to fire up the projector and watch the livestream. So much better watching it with others, getting to exclaim and swear at the screen together :P
not staying up from me although im keen to see what Nintendo has instore for the Wii U.
The original Wiis controller though changed gaming forever was hardly mainstream and thus the console suffered by not receiving many of the popular mainstream games that came naturally to ps3 and 360. Oh that and the crappy graphics (well it was all about the motion control after all). Now we have the Wii U and boy is it a different proposition indeed. The tablet controller changes things (if games use it properly that is) but the fact it comes with standard controls straight out of the box (dual analogue regular buttons etc) but they are selling wireless game controllers and not the Wiimote type - standard game controllers! Im sure the hardcore cant be complaining now. If this wasnt Nintendo listening to its fans well crap. Dont forget the promise of Full HD gaming that will help alot too.
Not to mention talk of serious online attempt and my excitement for the Wii U seems well founded. Now its the games, no matter what Nintendo said or showed till now will count for nothing if the games dont show us compelling reason to buy one. So far Nintendo has got it right lets hope it continues to the end of E3 2012.
I'll probably watch the MS one, but that's it. The others i don't mind just waiting till tomorrow to see at some point (besides Nintendo, not interested in that).
Fuuuuuuuuudge.... I have an 8am class at Tafe in the morning, but I've livestreamed the conferences for the last 2 years, can't miss this one. I guess I'll be pulling a late one.
I can see a whole lot of overhyped games with very little details regarding them for Microsoft, more Kinect hyping with the guy in the purple tracksuit, couldn't care who he is, more adorable furry creatures with Kinect.
Sony will talk about how hardcore they are and how awesome their stuff will be, even they won't actually know what stuff that is just yet.
Nintendo will have an informative discussion regarding the WiiU and how it WILL compare to next gen consoles, although we all know that's not looking too bright, then there'll be a new Mario Kart, a new Super Mario (possibly 3d world like 64), a new Zelda game and so. much. shovelware....
I CAN'T WAIT!
1:39am, only 21 minutes away from the start and I'm in strugglesville
Must... Stay... Awake
Oh wow I misread the date for nintendos conference, that's tomorrow. Guess I'm going to fall asleep and wake up sony's conference starts
