CJ's Log, Week 2
“All I had to do was catch the damn train. But I couldn't.”
After the success of my first week in TAY I stepped confidently forward to face the coming weeks onslaught, I was not prepared.
Things first went awry when my first log someone went public and it was swiftly demanded I make more and stay forever. Now a slave to my own creation I set about careful observation of the events and people around me and with the E3 festival almost upon us I thought it'd be easy to find appropriate inspiration and wonder. In a way I was right.
If week one had taught me anything its that this small village can quickly erupt into a chaotic frenzy of multiple simultaneous discussions some overlapping and others worlds apart. Even so, many manage to elegantly shift between the sections of banter swiftly adapting like a chameleon pumping red cordial through its veins.
As E3 hit I braced myself only to be quickly toppled over by the wave of information coming in, not just from TAY. It was not long before I decided to cut my losses and retreat waiting to emerge when all had settled down.
It was in the fetal position I lay on the floor of my hide spot that I noticed an unusual individual or perhaps individuals wandering the communes of TAY. One Lamboman/girl. Continued observation proved fruitless as I am still unable to tell if they are separate people or a being capable of bending its gender at will.
Finally as the week drew to a close and I slowly emerged the newly implemented Potaku arrived. It mainly spoke of E3 as to be expected however it did also inform of several birthdays within the settlement that I had missed. But I figure being new here I could get away with it.
I suspect the coming week to be quieter, but even so I would not be willing to bet money on such a prediction.

I saw that before, got distratced by dad whilst reading it. Finishing it now, it's a pretty insightful read!
It also reminds me alot of when I read 'The Dirt' by Motley Crue, a lot of the stuff depicted here sounds a lot like what the guys in the band went through, they eventually bought their master recordings back and fucked off from Elektra. Alter Bridge did a similar thing TWICE.. Now they are on their own label so they govern what they do, giving them more control over their future and music.

So I'm really annoyed to find out moving color don't ship to Australia. =(
I also found a really nice tap set that changed colours depending on whether your water was hot or cold. That is until I realised that it was the attachment and not the tap. =(

Find something completely new to interest you? Something you know nothing about, where you have to start from scratch. Try it out for a while and see if something clicks. Worse case scenario, you know a little bit more about something you didn't before

Well its about time. Just got an email saying my Runescape account has been permanently banned due to numerous infractions. The number of emails I've been getting about these infractions, I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner
I've had similar emails before. And yet I've never owned a Runescape account, to the best of my knowledge.

So, after listening for a week, I declare that Billy Talent is awesome. The best part is I discovered that they are the band that did a bunch of songs I already liked. Win!

Before the bottom half of the pic loaded I thought you were releasing a CD. Because it really did look like an album cover.
There is something that bugs me about the picture though, I can't quite put my finger on it....maybe because everything looks collage-y, the people look suspended and not grounded.
As soon as I figure out how to mask my singing voice and learn how to make digital music, I intend to make an album of some sort. It's on my maybe-bucket-list.

My only criticism is that the orb thing is right over the top of her genitals. so it looks like she has a big hole there. Maybe lower her down a little? IDK thats my opinion anyway.
Alright, I'm with Strange, needs more connectivity, possibly set the light source to be in the centre, where the glowy thing is, though you may want a second source on the female's face, as a low light usually looks bad. Is the stencil edges on the tree leaves purposeful, or accidental? If you have a good reason, they can stay, otherwise, I'd recommend getting rid of them. If possible, I'd also recommend adding more leaves to the tree, and changing the tint on some, to give more variation. On the guy on the left, the black stands out, but I think the red is too dim, again if possible, could do with being slightly brighter to help distinguish it from the back, the colours on the guy to the right is fine, even if his leg is clipping through his armour.
I'm being a bit nitpicky, so don't take the above too harshly, and don't fret unnecessarily.
There's some major clipping on the guy on the rights leg. It's quite noticeable.
Sorry, never been a fan of this style. Can't really give any recommendations to improve because it just doesn't work for me.
So, guess who didn't realise that there was a new TAY until just now?

Then I tried sleeping, gave up after another half hourish, derped about until it was light, and had a crack at the Wysteria, which I need to cut down.

I'm enjoying it. Seems to be a bit of Crackdown, a bit of Assassin's Creed, and a bit of "impossible to aim with the freaking Dualshock."
Oh, and it took the "numb repetition" part of AssCreed(at least thus far though it's less bad).
And you feel less powerful than the Crackdown Guy.
And the main guy's voice is stupid in game, but sounds fine in the animated cutscenes. No idea what's up with that.
But apart from that, I am enjoying it.
Oh, yeah, I think it's kind of actually fun, but it's not very deep at all.
Can't fault it, I guess. Got it for free with the PSN outage.

It's pretty DAMN good, seems it's slowly but surely developing a Beyond Good & Evil-like post release cult! I liked it so much I went back and bought Heavenly Sword to see if it was just as good. (It wasn't. :P)

On the other hand, I now really want to replay Enslaved.
No, it's just me being cheap and not wanting to buy games until they are absolutely in the lowest priced bargain bin of them all.

Do yourself a favour, start again on easy and finish it. The gameplay in this game is hardly worthwhile, but the story and characters are worth it.

Long weekend was good, spent most of it watching movies and playing videogames.
Saw Indie Game: The Movie and Prometheus.
Indie Game: The Movie was better :P
I also started playing Armored Core V this weekend, it's different but it still feels like an AC game. Although it does feel like there are less options for AC body parts and the parts don't look that distinct, so they all tend to look alike. I guess thats the trade-off for the slightly more realistic style that ACV went for.
Also while the game focuses on a lot of multiplayer and team play I am glad that it gives you the option to merc yourself out to teams who are down a player for some online matches. I've only played a couple of online games so far but I hope to play a bit more later on.
