      I was hopeful, but wasn’t entirely expecting it.

      2012 is going to be one of those years where we see a lot less big name titles released; yes we’ve had a few big name titles released and still to come this year, but nowhere near the volume that they were coming out in 2011.

      I think 2013 is going to be one of those years where all of our wallets start groaning for a bit of mercy again.

         Sony already have a formidable line up growing for 2013…

         God Of War, The Last of Us, The Last Guardian (let’s face it, it won’t ship this year, you think they would be able to have it done by next year sometime.)

         And you also have these games in just the first quarter alone, DmC, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Bioshock Infinite, Crysis 3, SimCity, South Park (RPG), Tomb Raider.

      Actually you just raised a good point when you mention breaking the bank. I was hoping/expecting to see price cuts on PS3 and/or 360 out of E3 but that didn’t eventuate either. Surely they’re due… PS3 especially has been at its current price for quite a while, hasn’t it?

   If they bring out enough good games that have decent length and replayability etc.. then they don’t need to release a hundred million games each year.. just like with the movies.. better to release some really outstanding titles that people talk about (and buy the DVD of) for months afterwards.

   Is there absolutely anything left at all this christmas? I count Assassin’s creed 3 and Black Ops 2. Is there anything else? It’s all getting pushed back…
