A Public Service Annoucement and a reminder for myself: don't be absent mindedly playing with a zippo lighter while driving. It makes things a touch awkward when you drop it in your lap while lit.
Oh dear..
Same thing happened to Lister in the Red Dwarf novel... kinda.
First thing I thought of, but not really relevant to everything. Hope you didn't actually set yourself on fire, though...
Twas nice meeting y'all!
And I apologise for not dressing like this
Gasp! Greenius went to a meat!
FALSE ADVERTISING
Because you went like this, right? :D
I expect a write up!
I would have thought more this.
Greenius finally went to a meat! I hope you all had fun.
STILL NOT GREEN ENOUGH. SHOULD HAVE BEEN LIKE THIS
http://www.costumebox.com.au/Morphsuit-Adult-Costume-Green-p-21527.html
But wait... which one is Greenius?
:)
Was he as hideous as THIS??
Background information: That is a photo (off my phone, I don't know how to grab screenshots off my PS3) of some Pawn I stumbled across in Dragon's Dogma. His name is Green. He is green. He basically wears nothing but a cloth onesie. He is hideous and I blame Greenius for it.
Oh wow that Pawn is hideous!
I on the other hand, am very beautiful
But technically not green.
ARMA II: Combined Operations (and therefore DayZ) is 40% off on Steam today, at $17.99.
I decided yesterday that it would never go on (further) sale, so I'd just spend what money I had in my Steam Wallet.
I am now $2 short.
I'm the best, around, nothing's gonna ever keep me down!
*Dances off stage left, while singing*
Thanks Rize.
Been wanting to check out DayZ since I first heard about it.
I told myself I wouldn't buy anything this sale, Definitely nothing over $10,
But I already got two games, both over $10, so what the heck.
OH GOD...
One of my mates just bought Beats By Dre headphones... "they're the best thing EVER" he says.
There goes the neighbourhood...
One of my coworkers did that recently. They cost more then my wireless Sennheisers and sound nowhere near as good. His reasoning was "Dre is a producer so why would he put his name on a shoddy product?"
/o\
My housemate has a pair. I don't even bother trying to find out his reasoning for owning them. It won't be good.
Well to be fair Dre didn't put his name on a shit product afaik, just an extremely over priced for what they are product.
Slap him, then show him these:

Just bought Rayman Origins and Spec Ops: The Line at JB, couldn't be more different tone wise. :P
Rayman Origins is gorgeous.
There's an understatement, man. Insanely beautiful!
Thx to all the Melbourne TAYbies for an awesome afternoon yesterday, you guys made a new gamer girl (me) feel very welcome.
Looking forward to being a more active participant In the TAY scene from now on
Welcome aboard!
\o/
Welcome! You and Beav should post more :). It also also great meeting everyone.
So is Pip(ster) your new handle? I still only really know you as Death (from Terraria :P)
Yay, a person!
Yeah, PrincessPipster is my steam handle too, so it's easier that way.
But Pip or Pipster is fine.
WELCOME (Totally not late to the party!)
Why did no-one tell me that Saint's Row the Third had Opeth on the soundtrack?!?!
THIS IS THE GREATEST GAME EVAR.
AND SHAI HULUD/AMON AMARTH/BTBAM/DILLINGER/BLACK DAHLIA MURDER?!?!
Man, that's the ONLY station I'll be listening to whilst playing. Seriously, whoever got to choose the tunes for that station IS A GOD.
SR3 did have a rather great metal selection but the classical always felt more right to me.
Classical! :)
I think for SR1/2 I went Rock/Rap and I think the talk back radio (if they had one?) but Classical just feels right this time around.
When I wasn't playing my Gen X radio station in the background, I was listening to the in game Gen X radio station...
I found out last night you can go streaking XD
...and so it came to pass that Virus never did wear pants again.
ONE OF US! ONE OF US!
Haha, it's too cold at the moment to do such things /o\
It has the best song for the last mission.
This. The Kanye song they play during an early mission was also pretty cool.
Agreed, it fit so well!
I'm already 41% through the game, not sure if it's just a short game, or if it's the first game in ages to captivate me like this :P
Uh, I have a question. I purchased and downloaded Jade Empire from Steam, I launch it from Steam then it tells me it cannot run because Steam is not installed and directs me to the Steam website.
Anyone know what the problem could be?
Got it to start running, now just stops running at splash screen then throws up a gazillion error messages.
Why do people like PC gaming again? Steam sells me a game that doesn't work and I'm guessing I have no real recourse with it.
And finally working... for now. Only took an hour.
I spend a lot of time messing around trying to get everything how I like it in each game. I just tried running Far Cry 2 a while ago but had some problems. 30 mins later and pretty much everything was working fine. But even for a 4 year old game it still impressed me graphically :P. PC MASTER RACE!
Also, PC game prices are insane. A single piece of DLC costs more on console than it does to buy the whole 'GOTY/Complete/Gold' edition on PC.
I think it appeals to the Goldilocks crowd, if you will. You can get everything just the way you like it, and there's always room to tinker with something. In addition, the graphical output comparative to a console is far better, and for me personally, I just feel more comfortable with keyboard/mouse anyway.
With all that said, yes, troubleshooting can be a real pain, and it never seems to "just work". But I find that appealing!
Chicken Chipees! \o/
\o/
Hoo-fucking-rah! Finally got Max Payne 3 working, 3 reinstalls later >.< Not a clue what its problem was. Thank god that I have the discs and didn't have to redownload that 3 times off steam at 30gb a pop..
Stop!
Bullet Time!

Haha, nice one =P
Thank you, Frozen one!

So, KOTOR wasn't working for me on Windows 7.
Fortunately, after a quick look around on the steam forums, the problem has now been fixed. :)
