The next game from the folks who once made the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. titles won’t be out for a while, but they already know that people will be trying to exploit it. They’ve got plans to stop those ne’er-do-wells.
In the video above, you’ll get a look at how Survarium is coming along, with info on the first character type in the game that they’re now building and a look at the engine that will be powering the experience. Given that Vostok is making a shooter with competitive aspects, they know some players will be trying to illicitly create advantages for themselves. A pretty detailed explanation of how the developers plan to foil cheaters starts in at 07:40 in the video above
Man, who says nothing pretty comes from horrific disasters? As great as these screens from upcoming F2P FPS Survarium look, there’s a built-in sadness at seeing the hollowed-out husk of a school — a place where kids played and learned — and knowing that it’s going to be a place where people will be shooting each other. At least there won’t be any cheating.

As much as I loved STALKER watching these videos is a little bit embarassing. The PR routine over there seems familiar, and yet so vastly different with the way they do things. It's a little bit funny and a little bit cringe worthy with how cheesy it all is. I still have no idea what to think about this game. They've mentioned several times control points and what not, but I can't remember hearing where the free roam comes into it... if it does.
Developers have posted the first picture, which shows an anomaly. Its working title of "gas chamber."
