Terrifying robot watch update: in the video above, a defence Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) robot called “Pet-Proto” is locked in a corridor and presented with two obstacles. The first is a step it must climb onto. The second is a gap it must inch across.
It’s like a video game tutorial. Only instead of learning how to move an avatar, it’s learning how to get around obstacles so it can complete its mission to eradicate humanity.
It’s just one of several robots at DARPA which look, and even move, unnervingly like one of the Metal Gears from Konami’s famous stealth series.
Our days are numbered...

And then someone shoots the hydraulics and it becomes useless. Or it runs into slightly damp ground and sinks up to it's knees.
You seem to be implying that human beings would stand up any better to being shot... Good point about the mud though, these guys seem HEAVY.
