Community Kudos

Oh boy. It’s Friday again. On the one hand I’m happy, but it’s also scaring the crap out of me. Every week that passes is another week closer to me being a Dad. Scary thought. Anyway — Community Kudos!

Shane, he has an ‘obligatory Shane tag’ for a reason. The reason is this: he is a total bro. Probably one of the most nominated in history!

This week he was doing the nominating!

Shane
I have a nom this week for NotoriousR who is attempting to send me a free copy of Assassin’s Creed 3. What a guy.

You might want to wait until you’ve played the game before you say anything…

I’M KIDDING, I’M KIDDING!

We had redartifice making the best call about the best call of the century…

redartifice
Doc What, for his Woolworths call of the century, and Aidan, for consistently being one of the most thoughtful and reasonable commenters on the whole site.

And yep, totally — Aidan’s comment was a pretty amazing one. His comments are always worth reading.

Both these comments are reasons why I’m pretty happy Ben and Rob put together the upvote/downvote thing.

Greenius felt the same way, and said so during his GKNs (Greenius Kudos Noms)…

Greenius
#35 for being a bro and hooking me and Freeze up with some of that gooooood stuff!
Freeze for his poopy poem on Page 12
Sughly for Survivor Bro!
Ben and Rob for awesome up/down vote system!

And speaking of comments, I really liked Strange’s noms. She always puts together very well considered noms. (Except for the time she drops her mad Oprah noms — come to think of it, I think Strange is actually the Oprah nom pioneer…)

Strange
Today I will be nominating Weresmurf for Kudos.
I rarely agree with anything he says but I do feel his comments always provide an interesting point of view.

I think AlexPants just invented a new obligatory nom tag…

AlexPants
Obligatory Cake Nom. Can I make that a thing? I seem to keep nomming him these days.
The Cracks had his birthday on Tuesday! And so did Tad! So happy birthday to them.
Nom for NotoriousR for handing in his honours thesis today!

I liked D.C.’s nom, mostly because I agree with him — Aleph-Null is a great guy.

D.C.
I’d like to nominate Aleph-Null. He’s a great guy who’s had a tough week, but has remained his likable self in spite of this. Here’s hoping you feel better, man! Also, he’s got plans a-brewin’ for an east coast Kotaku tour! Exciting times!

Make sure you come and visit us on your tour. I’ll take you to the chicken place everyone hates!

The last nom of the week came from Welbot — but he wasn’t late! That’s four in a row for the big man! Unbelievable!

Welbot
I suppose I could nom the universe this week, even though it has been rather.. unkind to me of late, at least it didn’t go out of its way to rip me a new asshole this week! That’s not to say I’ve had a particularly good week, but at least it wasn’t as terrible as the past few!

I suppose I should really nom some TAYbies for their continued love and support over this week, but they’re too numerous to name individually this week, so I’ll just go ahead an say that I nom all the welbot fans and leave it at that. You know who you are!! 😉 I love you for it!

Have a few possible part time possibilities at schools on the horizon, so all is not totally lost yet. Just need to wait a bit and find out more details etc, but at least someone out there is looking out for me 🙂 All is not lost quite yet!
For now, I shall bid you good day, and say thanks again for doing what you do at Kotaku! It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside! 🙂

Thanks Welbot, I appreciate it.

Alright, that’s it for this week! This week’s Community Kudos goes to Aidan for constantly being a spectacular commenter on Kotaku. Long may it continue!

Have a good weekend guys!
