Wii U’s Miiverse Coming To Smartphones


Smartphones will be able to access the Miiverse — the Wii U’s social network — sometime between March and May this year, Nintendo announced this morning, with a dedicated app for smart devices to follow sometime later. In short, it sounds Miiverse will have a mobile-optimised website soon.

Miiverse is the hub where Wii U players connect with others, sharing comments, thoughts, images and drawings in communities segmented by game (or app). The smartphone support is one of a few upgrades Miiverse is getting in coming months, including the ability to set up user-created communities within certain games. Wii Fit U was given as an example.
