It started with album covers, but if you’ve been browsing Tumblr or forums this week, you may have seen it jump pretty swiftly to video games. “It” being people recreating video game box art using nothing but stock clip art, MS Paint and everyone’s favourite font, comic sans.
The results are… horrifying, at first. But when you realise how much work goes into matching the clip art with whatever’s on the front of a box, it becomes a work of art.
Some of the better ones are below, but, really, if you want to comb through a lot more, this Tumblr tag and NeoGAF thread are a good place to start.
