Rockstar has dropped the official box art for Grand Theft Auto V. It’s just like that unfinished mural, only finished.
It’s another collage, but it sure beats a gruff-looking character standing next to a car holding a gun. The Grand Theft Auto series’ signature style is immediately recognisable, with the added benefit of being hard to copy without coming across as a ripoff.

– Helicopter in the left hand corner. Check.
– Girl left of main logo/masthead. Check.
– Car/vehicle action shot below logo. Check.
– Black guy in bottom right corner. Almost.
Ha, totally didn’t even notice it was a black car… I meant almost like if they had swapped the car and the guy in the middle around from the GTA:V cover then it would have been another check…
It’s good to see that Rockstar haven’t bowed to the current standards of game covers and kept their unique GTA style.
You’re not going to mention that Rockstar have also announced the release date? September 17.
