Donkey Kong Island is overrun by Vikings in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, which will be a Wii U eShop download when it arrives later this year.
The first high-definition entry in the Donkey Kong Country series, Tropical Freeze will introduce different camera angles to the sidescrolling platformer. Dixie Kong returns and Diddy Kong appears as playable characters. The game supports two-player co-op play.

Really saddened… A lot of fub games coming up, but it’s the same formulas, heck even complete remakes… Kind of rubs me the wrong way.. What angers me, is that most are 2014 releases, not even holiday releases… Not seriously angry, but slightly let down.
Presumably it’s not ONLY an eShop download…

Apparently the “different camera angles” thing entails the camera shifting behind barrels during barrel cannon sequences.

I wonder if the Wii U has enough power to make the fish swim away from you in those fancy new underwater levels…
