Based in Osaka, Riccardo Minervino is an Italian CG artist who works for Capcom. Meaning, Yeah, these Breaking Bad shots aren’t screengrabs from the show, they’re 3D models.
Most of the images you’ll see below are amazing 3D images, then, but I’ve also included some 2D (and pixel!) pieces for good measure.
You can see more of Riccardo’s work at his personal site and CGHub page.

its always the hair that lets these CG images down, other than that you can barely tell.
Incredible work tho.
i can’t put my finger on it but walt’s face isn’t quite right
I hear you, there is something in that first pic that just doesn’t seem legit
It’s the ears, they are too simple compared tot he rest of the face. Also in the second image his face is a tiny bit too wide.
maybe the mouth looks a little like a turtle’s
At first I was like ‘Hell yeah!’. But then I was like ‘OH MY GOD THE TRI’S’ in the level picture. What on earth is going on in that field?!
Hills, bro. You can see at least one big curve just north of the middle.
Oh really? Looks flat to me! Guess it’s just the angle. Would make sense though!
