PS All-Stars’ Journey/Gravity Rush Stage Left On Cutting Room Floor

PS All-Stars’ Journey/Gravity Rush Stage Left On Cutting Room Floor

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale at one point had plans for a Gravity Rush/Journey crossover stage, according to images leaked by one of the game’s artists. Whether it was meant to be DLC is kind of a moot point, as the only post-release support the game is now getting is online match-making.

PlayStation Euphoria noticed the images yesterday on the personal website of Ky Bui, formerly of SuperBot Entertainment, the PS All-Stars developer that has now severed ties with Sony. The images were quickly removed but not before they spread.

Scenes from Journey and Gravity Rush figure into the landscape background of the stage, with the main platform either tilted or rotating dramatically against the horizon.

In a statement responding to the images, Sony Santa Monica repeated its no-plans comment regarding new content for PlayStation All-Stars. The statement added that many characters and environments were considered during development, some of which were left on the cutting room floor.
