The graphics of early 3D games such as Donkey Kong 64, Conker’s Bad Fur Day or The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time on the Nintendo 64 are just perfect for silly, glitchy corruptions that have become an artform lately, thanks to the one and only Vinesauce Vidya on YouTube (who we’ve featured a few times before).
Here’s Link, with the greatest floating move of all time.
And this time Conker really has a bad day.
Donkey Kong & Co. completely freaking out is the best thing ever.

I remember in Goldeneye 64. One of the bad guys had 5 faces around his head. Very creepy.
This is why we don’t have more real time cutsceens…
I hope you’re being facetious because with the improvements in technology, a very large number of cut scenes are now done in real time rendering. They also still have a reasonable chance of glitching out.
They are done real time and in engine, but not ‘in game’ so to speak.
Some of the funniest moments of my life have been from game glitches. Like pause the game, painful laughter with friends for a good minute or so.
Mario Kart 64 was the cause of a lot of them, with the CPU doing all it can to cheat its way to victory. So much fun.
