Out in October, and published by the fanservice kings at Udon, Dark Souls: Design Works is a nice big hardcover book that collects a lot of concept and promotional art from the game. Most of its 128 pages are images, aside from a lengthy interview at the very end of the book, but hey, less words means more drawings of monsters and giant swords.
Those who have lusted after the Japanese edition of the book (released last year), know this is the same thing, right down to the foil cover, only now in English.
You can pre-order the book here (it’s $US40), but Udon were nice enough to send over some images of the book beforehand, give you a look at the kind of stuff to expect.
Fine Art is a celebration of the work of video game artists, showcasing the best of both their professional and personal portfolios.

Anything to do with Dark Souls doesn’t “try” to kill you, It merely allows you to live a little while longer.
That first image….immediate thought was “KILL IT WITH FIRE”
Until you realize who it was, that is…
So it’s on special for around $US26 and shipping is about $US10. Also the Japanese version has been out for a while and is on eBay for around $AUD50.
