These Guys Want To Bring Their Classic Platformer To HD Consoles

Everyone’s favourite half-genie belly dancer looks pretty good in HD. Shantae, the star of games like Shantae and Shantae: Risky’s Revenge, wants to hair-whip her way to HD platforms, and the developers at WayForward are asking for $US400,000 to make that happen.

WayForward says they’ve already got deals in place to take the portable star to Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, Wii U, and Steam, and they’ve gone to Kickstarter with a new trailer for the HD game — Shantae: Half-Genie Hero — to see if people want it.

This is not to be confused with Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse, which is already en route to 3DS, Kickstarter or no Kickstarter.
