World War II is not something we see every day in the ocean of blocky castles and rollercoasters that usually make up Minecraft‘s visually compelling constructions. That makes this WWII-themed Minecraft map that much more unique and amazing. It was made by two friends, Rythma and Sycoinc, who compiled this dramatic video to show off the best parts of their incredibly detailed map.
It’s set in the 1940s and has everything else needed to complete the image: a city under attack, heavy bombers (bonus points for whoever can identify them), cruisers and frozen explosions. Here are some stills in case you prefer that kind of thing:

that’s a Lancaster in the first pic….
I wonder what third party-3D program they used to create this :-/
huh…
People that make this awesome massive models in minecraft, more often then not; use an external program to just turn a 3d object into blocks, and it automatically builds the item for them, you barely even need to fire up the game..
It’s true that they almost certainly didn’t make it by hand. It still looks cool.
Who is this we?
Looks like a B-24 bomber at the top right.
Yay! I can play as a Squarehead!
Dude, that’s racist. They prefer ‘differently shaped’.
