Akiba’s Trip 2 is about two things: stripping vampires (and thus exposing them to lethal amounts of sunlight) and the mecca for otaku worldwide: Akihabara. And as the game sports over 130 stores from the real world Akihabara, I went out and took a few pictures to see just how well the game captured real life.
And what a great job it does. If you can’t hit up the real Akihabara, this is the next best thing. Check out the gallery below to see for yourself.
Akiba’s Trip 2 was released on November 7, 2013, for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in Japan. There is currently no word on a Western release.

It’s like a little piece of home.. in a game about ripping clothes off vampires…
Thank you world.
The real question is if you go up to that building in the title picture there, will the ground floor still be completely filled with porn in the game?
Did Neko JaLaLa make it?!?!
ANyway, interesting they changed the “OFF” chain of stores to “ON” – looks…. rude in English now (not that Book Off etc didnt already sound rude)
Interesting changes to the AKB48 naming – and I cant see Don Quiotie??
Also, is that Super Potato in the 7th last comparison picture? (about Taito Game Station?)
If it isn’t, it sure as hell looks like it.
The “AKW48” building IS the Don Quijote building, they’ve slightly changed the name (don -> pon) and taken away the penguin’s hat amongst other things but it’s still there.
And yeah, that’s Super Potato, inside the dodgy little entrance.
Ah, Akihabara. I will never smoke a cigarette, drink an alcoholic milkshake, and watch grown men praise a giggling Japanese maid lip with glow-sticks all at the same time ever again … unless I can convince my friend it’s worth the trip, that is.
