This year in Japan, idiots on Twitter have gotten into all kinds of trouble. Dummies have been climbing into freezers and on subway tracks to snap Twitter pics. And now, one area in Japan has had enough.
Kanagawa Prefecture is launching a public awareness campaign to help prevent future Twitter stupidity. Later this month, the following poster will go up in high schools, universities and train stations.
It loosely translates as, “Intended gags come with great consequences. What you’ll bear? Breaking the law and paying damages.”
Remember, people! Unless your account is private, everyone can see your Twitter feed. Everyone. Don’t be stupid.
